Sidney Lawn & Labour was created to make sure anyone who wants to regain or maintain a nice and tidy yard can do so. Services from, general property maintenance packages, to random one-off fixer, upper jobs.

Sidney Lawn & Labour, was started by Carter Waterhouse when he was in his junior year at Stelly’s Secondary School. He had been working as a labourer in construction throughout high school, and kept finding how he enjoyed the work, but not the way work was done. It felt like things could be done differently to provide a better outcome. With that realization, the idea of making a business to bring something modern into an old industry drove him to create this business.
Yard Maintenance became the opportunity Carter was looking for. He wanted to help out his family, and neighbours, who love their yards, and always want them to look their best. The industry had an old perspective, just waiting for someone to bring something new into it.

About Lizzy
Lizzy is based in Saanichton on Vancouver Island and supports the day-to-day operations of Sidney Lawn & Labour. She plays a key role in keeping everything organized and running smoothly, assisting with client communication, scheduling, and administrative systems so work in the field stays efficient and reliable.
Alongside her work with the company, Lizzy runs a local small business creating handmade items using sewing, embroidery, and design tools. A large part of her work involves designing and producing custom vinyl projects using a Cricut machine, including decals, personalized items, and detailed cut designs. This hands-on experience with precision work and design carries over into her organized, detail-focused approach within the business.
She is also a student at the University of Victoria, studying Economics, Mathematics, and Computer Science – bringing a strong attention to detail and problem-solving mindset into her work.
Her involvement helps ensure clients receive clear communication, timely responses, and a well-organized service experience from start to finish.
